Outdoor nature exploration
During Spanish language camp, campers get to explore local green spaces in SF for a full day, twice a week.
Children will walk or take public transportation to a local nature spot. There, they'll learn social and emotional skills, math & science, literacy, the arts, fine and gross motor skills, and more through fun projects, personal and group reflection time, stories, and curiosity-inspired wandering - all in the great outdoors.
Children will be taught to walk safely in a line, holding onto a rope or holding hands with a partner as appropriate. They will be in a line where there will be one camp counselor at the front and one and the back. Those who cannot hold onto the rope will hold hands with camp counselors.
