Terra San Francisco is inviting students applying to Kinder - 2nd grade to join our Earth Educators for a day of outdoor adventure. Students will spend a day outdoors at Golden Gate Park.

About the event

Terra SF's Outdoor Playdate

When: Sunday, January 14th

What Time: 9 am - 2 pm

Where: Drop off & Pick Up will be at Terra San Francisco - 3801 Balboa St, San Francisoc, CA 94121

Earth Education Location: Golden Gate Park (exact location to be shared once families RSVP)

Schedule for the Day

  • 9:00-9:15  - Student drop-off and trickle-in games
  • 9:15-9:30 - Take Terra SF School Bus to Lands End
  • 9:30-10:00 - Activate, Student Activity
  • 10:00-10:45 - Snack/Recess/Self-Care Break
  • 10:45-11:45 - Subject learning time
  • 11:45-12:45 - Lunch/Recess
  • 12:45-1:00 - Awareness activity
  • 1:00-2:00 - Skills & Skill Games
  • 1:30-1:45 - Closing circle
  • 1:45-2:00 -School bus back to Terra SF for pick up
  • 2:00 - Pick Up at Terra SF

What to Bring

  • Backpack: that can fit snack, lunch, water bottle & outerwear
  • Water Bottle (20 oz+ recommended)
  • Dress in Layers appropriate to the weather
  • Good hiking boots or walking shoes (they will get dirty)
  • Sunscreen
  • Hand Sanitizer, to clean hands before snack and after bathroom breaks
  • Snack and Lunch 
    • Please pack a filling lunch as students eat more on earth education days
    • Suggestion: please brown bag or reusable plastic bag your child’s lunch on these days to reduce weight in their backpack
