Demystifying Preschool and Kindergarten Educational Milestones

Description

Health professionals talk a lot about developmental milestones, but what about educational milestones? Learn what skills are most helpful to have by the time your child enters preschool and kindergarten, and how to cultivate them. By the end of this workshop, you’ll know more about how to:

  • Prepare for, and cope with the stress of the first few transition weeks

  • Foster foundational skills that will help your child join circle time, participate in class activities, play well with others, follow directions, advocate for themselves, and ask for help

  • Cultivate social and emotional skills like dealing with hard internal feelings, and engaging with peers and teachers in a kind and appropriate way

.
