Job Description

Teach simplified characters, pinyin, tones, and Chinese culture using innovative teaching methods.

Cultivate a learning atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and engagement.

Foster classroom community through proactive social-emotional learning practices.

Communicate with co-lead, students, families, and colleagues.
-
Participate in prospective student assessments.
-
Engage in self-reflection and professional development through goal-setting, training, and feedback loops with colleagues.

Collaborate with teams to design and implement Mandarin and Chinese cultural curriculum.

Set up and maintain classroom and materials.
-
Organize and execute student off-campus trips including curricular-related field trips.
Requirements
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education required.

Experience: At least 12 months of work experience in a similar or related role, such as a teacher or instructional coach for school-age students.

Language: Fluency in Mandarin is required.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week

Develop, plan, and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs for students.

Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.

Assist in selecting books, equipment, and other instructional materials.

Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documents.

Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.

Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned.

Sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.

Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, and colleagues.

Attend and participate in faculty meetings.
