DISCOVERY CAMP

Explore our local green spaces in Marin (only) in our Earth Discovery Camp for ages 4-8.

 

Children will learn social and emotional skills, math & science, literacy, the arts, fine and gross motor skills, and more through fun projects, personal and group reflection time, stories, and curiosity-inspired wandering - all in the great outdoors.

  3. Your spot will be held once you pay & submit the form

Refund Policy

You may cancel your camp registration up to two weeks before your session starts for a full refund, minus a $50 processing fee. This applies to all cancellations, including camp fees, shuttle bus reservations, and aftercare programs. After that deadline, unfortunately, the full camp fee is non-refundable.

*Please note that week 1 (June 16-20) and week 3 (June 30 - July 4) are priced at $560, considering the camp's closure on June 19th for the Juneteenth state and federal holiday and July 4th.

Shuttle 

A daily shuttle bus is available for Marin camps for:

  • Morning only, for one or two legs of the trip: $65 per week

  • Afternoon only, for one or two legs of the trip: $65 per week

  • Note: If your child is in Earth Discovery and needs the Afternoon shuttle, they will also need afternoon aftercare for 1 hour per day: Additional $150 per week

Marin: Drop off and pick up your child from one of our four shuttle locations for Marin Camps. Earth Ed campers can also pay for a shuttle from Terra Marin School to the outdoor location of the day, and back to Terra Marin School. 

Aftercare

Available for Marin & SF campers, respectively, at Terra Marin School & Terra San Francisco School for $150 per week.
 

  • Earth Discovery (Marin) - from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM

  • Spanish Immersion (Marin & SF) - from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM

  • Mandarin Mania (Marin & SF) - from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM

 
Note: For Earth Discovery Camps,  shuttle takers will have to register for at least one hour of aftercare.

Daily Flow

  • 7:25 AM - 8:40 AM Shuttle takers drop off your child at one of our Marin shuttle stops

    • Marin shuttle stops & times

  • 8:40 AM Shuttle takers drop off your child at Terra Marin School. Take the shuttle to the Location of the Day.

  • 9:00 AM - Arrive at Location of the Day. Free choice or project time

    • Morning circle with song/poem/gratitude

    • Hike & nature exploration

    • Snack time

    • Sit spot (connection)

    • Activity (Earth studies, movement, art, connection)

  • 12:00 PM - Lunch & story time (Lunch not provided)

  • 1:00 PM

    • Activities of the day continued (Earth studies, movement, art, connection)

    • Closing circle - daily reflection

    • Journey back to pick up area

  • 2:00 PM - Pickup at the location of the day for non shuttle takers.

  • 3:00 PM - Pickup at Terra Marin for shuttle takers.

  • 3:40 PM - 4:55 PM Pick up your child at one of our shuttle locations in Marin for shuttle takers.

    • Marin shuttle stops & times

    • Shuttle takers need to register for at least one hour of aftercare. 

  • 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM Aftercare pickup at Terra Marin School. 

WHERE WILL MY CHILD BE?

Campers study and explore one location each week. Exact location information for camp and shuttle services will be received after registration. Locations can be viewed below.

Children will be taught to walk safely in a line, holding onto a rope or holding hands with a partner as appropriate. They will be in a line where there will be one camp counselor at the front and one and the back. Those who cannot hold onto the rope will hold hands with camp counselors.
