Our Indexed Tuition Model
At Terra Schools, we are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and financially accessible school community. For this reason, Terra offers an Indexed Tuition model that helps align tuition with each family’s individual financial circumstances.
Indexed Tuition is designed to make a Terra education attainable for a wide range of families by considering a holistic view of a family’s financial profile, including income, assets, expenses, and obligations. By matching tuition levels more closely to a family’s ability to contribute, this model supports economic diversity and strengthens our inclusive school community.
Why Indexed Tuition?
Indexed Tuition exists to provide families with a clear, thoughtful, and equitable approach to tuition. It allows for consistency and transparency in how tuition levels are determined, while supporting long-term financial planning for both families and the school. Most importantly, it reflects Terra’s belief that a vibrant learning environment is enriched when families from diverse economic backgrounds are able to participate.
How It Works
Tuition levels are determined through a comprehensive review of financial information submitted via the Clarity Application. This process takes into account income, assets, expenses, and debts to place families within an indexed tuition ranges that start from $2,000.00 to the full amount. Indexed Tuition is available across all Terra Schools programs and supports our ongoing commitment to accessibility, equity, and inclusion.

For the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, the following maximum tuition rates have been set by the Board of Trustees.
Note that the Indexed Tuition model means that many families pay below the top rate based on their financial profile.

Applying for Indexed Tuition
The Terra Schools Indexed Tuition program (formerly Tuition Assistance) is designed to make a Terra Schools education accessible to families based on demonstrated financial need and available funds.
We use the Clarity Application to assess each family’s need, based on information provided about income, assets, expenses, and debts.
Clarity Application Process

Get Started: Visit the Clarity Application website and create an account.

Time to Complete: The application takes under 30 minutes, is mobile-friendly, and can be saved and completed later.

Submission Fee: A $60 fee is required to submit the application. You may share your application with other Clarity-participating schools at no additional cost by selecting them in the dropdown menu.

Required Documents: After submitting your application, return to your dashboard to upload required documents for Terra Schools, including tax returns, W-2s, and additional supporting materials.
